((Been a while since anyone posted on these forums...but I would like to share a couple stories I wrote about the zombie attacks.))
((These were stories I wrote for the Zombie Infestation Journal thread on the WoW RP forums. They are not linked, except for locations and characters. Both stories are non canon. Also, I am just copy/pasting these from the thread itself.))
((From the viewpoint of my gnome warrior, Brenry Bigwiggle))
*You find a strange rectangular device, among the ruins. Even though it is blackened from the fire it was in, you can make out Talkatronic 4200 on the side. Apparently gnomish technology. You notice a button on the side. Pressing it, you begin to hear a voice emanating from it. It is a gnomish voice...*
Hope this contraption I am speaking into works, it may be informative one day. This is Brenry Bigwiggle, Lieutenant of Field Intelligence for the Foothold Sentinels. And it is the 23rd day in the 10th month of this year. All is quiet in Theramore today. Nothing has been heard of from the Eastern Kingdoms in a couple days. Also, seems that the high counsel and Lady Jaina have been worried about something. Strange, me being LT of Field Intel, but still am unable to know what is going on here. Several boats left port five hours ago to pick up some supplies from Booty Bay. Ratchet closed its port and we are unable to get supplies from them. Damned goblins...anyway, the supplies should be here within a couple days. Just hope nothing happens. Brenry out.
*The recording stops for a few seconds, then comes back on.*
Brenry Bigwiggle here again and it is day 25 of this month. The supply boats have just returned and the supplies are being distributed among the populace right now. From what I heard, the sailors didn't have much trouble getting supplies, as the goblins were doing everything they could to give them away, food especially. I still have a couple days of food left, so I won't be receiving any until it runs out. I better get eating then. Brenry out.
*Again, the recording stops, then comes back on.*
Brenry Bigwiggle again and it is day 28 of the month. Seems that some people are sick with something. They seem to be muttering incoherently, vomiting, and don't seem hungry for anything but meat. Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen and his apprentices are working overtime and don't seem to be doing any good. Two runners have been sent to nearby Brackenwall and Mudsprocket to ask them for their help. Hopefully the goblins and Horde should know something about this. Also, one of out ships is heading back to Booty Bay to inquire about the food. Those goblins probably laced the food with some poison or something. I swear, it that is true, then I will personally seek out whichever goblin did this and make sure they pay. Brenry out.
*The recording stops for the third time, the Talkatronic 4200 makes some strange squeaks, and then the voice comes back on.*
Brenry here. Day 30 of the month, and things are not looking good. Most of the people who ate the food have died from sickness. The few that are still alive are acting erratically. We had to quarantine them for their own good, and ours. The ones that died have been buried in the cemetery across from the gate. The boat that was sent to Booty Bay hasn't returned yet, but the runners we sent out returned, which is good news, even though they didn't bring good news. Seems that Mudsprocket and Brackenwall Village have been razed. Nothing was left except for broken guns and maces lying around Mudsprocket and bloodied axes at Brackenwall. Not even a body was spotted in the rubble. Either the goblins and Horde got away, or something got them. Captain Aurthon is sending out some of us to investigate further tomorrow. Maybe Archmage Manix Ebonfire can figure out what happened. *A scream is heard over Brenry* What was that?! It sounded like it came from outside the gate. I better investigate. Brenry out.
*The device sputters and whirs for a couple seconds, then you hear Brenry again*
Brenry again. Day 31 of the month. The scream we heard last night came from the cemetery. Upon reaching it, we discovered that the people we buried have risen again. Captain Aurthon ordered several of out soldiers to attack before the undead noticed us. I joined in the fray, taking out my mace smashing the knees of each one I could get to, just to soften them up for our soldiers. Only one of us was killed in the attack, which is acceptable. If we delayed any longer, we might have lost much more. We also learned that the people we quarantined have turned into the undead as well. They were swiftly put down. Aurthon went to inform Lady Jaina about what just happened, but she was no where to be found. Seems that she and her counsel have teleported away from Theramore, hopefully to get help for us. Until then, Captain Aurthon has become temporary leader of Theramore and Archmage Manix Ebonfire is in charge of magical affairs. Hopefully, another undead attack won't happen again. Brenry out.
*Once again, the device squeaks for a few seconds, and Brenry's voice starts up.*
Brenry Bigwiggle, and it is day 2 of the 11th month. While we were right in thinking that the goblins of Mudsprocket and members of the Horde were dead, we were wrong thinking they would never come back. At first, we all thought it was just the wind groaning, but when it got louder and a foul smell began to assault our nostrils, we immediately knew what was coming. Captain Aurthon ordered the bridge linking Theramore and Dustwallow Marsh to be destroyed and the gate lifted before the undead got closer. Archmage Manix has tried contacting Stormwind, Ironforge, Darnassus, and even the Exodar, but when he peered through the portals to those places, all he saw was fire and death. It appears that we were the last Alliance city to be attacked. We gave up hope of the ship we sent to Booty Bay of ever returning, but at least we have several others left. We are going to use them as a means of escaping to Steamwheedle Port in Tanaris. All of our supplies that we have left, which is not much, are being put on board as I speak, except for what we received from Booty Bay. The citizens are also being put on the ships as well, just in case of a sudden breakthrough by the undead. I need to help load the ships now. Brenry out.
*The contraption makes a loud bang. Smoke begins to come out of it, and Brenry is heard again.*
Brenry here again, and I have to make this quick. The undead have broken through the gate and began attacking the soldiers nearby. Captain Aurthon has ordered the boats to be sent ahead to Steamwheedle and for us to make a last stand. We have hold up in the mage tower where Lady Jaina Proudmoore used to command from. We have built a barricade out of crates and barrels in the doorway, but we do not think that it will last long. Manix has retreated to Jaina's personal library to find a spell that will get us to safety, but I do not know if he will find it. I just hope the barricade last long enough for him to *you hear a loud crash coming from the device* THEY'VE BROKEN THROUGH! To arms! *Sounds of battle are heard, along with the screams of the dying and the groans of the undead. A high pitched scream is heard* Listen to me...whoever hears this. Know that we died heroically, fighting off the undead attackers. Most of the soldiers are dying or are dead. I know that they will turn into one of those monstrosities soon...and so will I. One of those bastards bit my side. Captain Aurthon, Manix, and those few that made it away from the attack are gone. Guess our Archmage figured out a way out of here. Good luck to them in the future, they are going to need it. *You hear wet coughing* I am not going to last long, but I have one last request. Tell my little brother Bimo to keep fighting, as hard as he can. I do not know if he is still alive, but I hope he is...Brenry out, for the last time...
*The Talkatronic 4200 stops.*

((Another journal entry by my gnome warrior, Brenry Bigwiggle. The first one was just a practice/fun story. This one should be better.))
*You find a stained book amongst the ruins. The stains are obviously blood, and old blood at that, but you can make out the words, "The Retaking of Gnomeregan: A Journal by Brenry Bigwiggle." You open the book and begin reading.*
Day 1
High Tinker Mekkatorque just informed the gnome populace that Mekgineer Thermaplugg was recently killed by some brave adventurers. He has tasked thirty gnomes and employed ten dwarves in cleansing the city of troggs and leperous gnomes ( at least, the ones that the adventurers missed) so that it is livable again. I have been chosen as the leader of the party and also in charge of archiving our task. I am honored to do anything for my people, and hope that doing this will pardon me of the crimes I was convicted of...
The party will set out for Gnomeregan in the morning, once all of the supplies are ready. The dwarves will be given guns, ammo, and explosives, while the gnomes will be given all sorts of mechanica contraptions, except for the few gnomes, such as myself, who will be given swords and shields. Only two gnomes are specialized in magic. Bimo is one of them. I just hope that my little brother doesn't forget anything like he did last time. I still make fun of him for leaving behind his robe and his wizard hat.
Day 2
The party has entered Gnomeregan without any incidents. The bodies of the recently slain leper gnomes and troggs can be found all over the place. I feel remorse when I see a familiar face among the gnomes, but I cannot let my feeling get in the way of my task. When I see a trogg, however, I am relieved. Not only is it one less to kill (which makes my job easier,) but it is another gnome that was avenged. Those monsters should all be erradicated.
We have made it to a cave of some sorts, and what we found there was amazing. Dozens of dead troggs, and in the middle of them all was a single gnome. It appears that she, along with the adventurers that came to kill Thermaplugg, killed them all by planting explosives at the caves that they were coming out of, while simultaneously killing the ones that made it away from the explosions. We have invited her to join us in retaking the city. Emi Shortfuse (that is her name) will be very helpful indeed.
It appears that two of our dwarven friends forgot something and are on their way back to a teleporter that we spotted a while back. Hopefully, it will take them someplace friendly. Until they return, we are going to camp in the cave and celebrate the victory over these troggs.
Day 3
The two dwarves came back early this morning. The location the teleporter brought them to was Booty Bay. It seems that some goblins set it up recently, to steal some gnomish technology no doubt. Luckily, the goblins gave the two dwarves this supplies they forgot, which was ale! I can't believe them. A dwarf cannot go without alcohol for more than a couple days? The other dwarves chastised me for yelling at them, saying that you can't be a dwarf and not drink. I soon gave up yelling, but began to wonder why the two of them looked a little sickly. I asked them if they caught something while in Booty Bay, and they said, "We dun' think so. All we did was ea' some bread that the goblin's were sellin'. I then began to tell them that if the rest of the party caught anything, then those two were gonna get it. But for now, I am going to watch them closely for any signs of increased sickness.
I ordered some of our party to go further into the city and see what they could find. They found something that really brought my spirits up. A whole section of the city was cleansed and a group of gnomes were busy burning any trogg body they could find. Upon reporting this to me, I ordered the rest of the party, along with the Emi Shortfuse, to make their way there. After reaching the Clean Zone, we took a break, savoring the clean smell and clean gnomes. But for some reason, the two dwarves began to show a green aura around them and a smell, like the smell of death. I didn't believe them when they say that they just passed gas, so I placed them under quarantine, just to see if they get worse.
Day 4
I write this scared out of my wits. The two dwarves began to get worse throughout the night. They began vomiting and coughing up blood. That was just mild before what happened next. They...changed, right before our eyes. Their skin fell off and they began attacking the nearest person to them. Several gnomes fell before them, and immediately got up again and attacked the nearest person to them...The five dwarves that were still alive reached for their guns and began shooting the creatures as fast as they could reload. All were killed except for two that got away to a different section of the city. We were sad to see that it was the gnomes we found in the Clean Zone and Emi were among the casualties. We paid our respects and began running back to the lift that would take us away from Gnomeregan.
When we reached the lift, we were shocked to see that the undead (for that is what they obviously were) were already there. It seems that the two that escaped converted some surviving leper gnomes and troggs into their fold. We doubled back to the place where this all started...the transporter to Booty Bay. It was hard, getting us all through it while being attacked by the undead, but we somehow managed to get away. It was easier given that five gnomes and one dwarf sacrificed their lives so that the rest of the party could live. I was also glad that they were smart in rigging an explosive device to explode just as the last one of us could get through. But when we reached Booty Bay, we wished we had stayed. The whole town was in chaos. Fires raged everywhere and undead ran rampant through the streets. We noticed a nearby ship that was still intact, and immediately boarded it. We are setting sail for the nearby town of Grom'gol. Even though it is a Horde town, we need to inform the rest of the world of what is going on.
Day 5
We reached Grom'gol, but quickly wished we didn't. It appears that some of the undead have learned how to use a catapult, as we were quickly hit once we were in their sight. Some of us drowned swimming to shore and others were quickly eaten by the undead once they reached it. The only survivors left of the party are a dwarf and four gnomes, my brother included. We quickly ran away to the nearest shelter we could find, which was the zeppelin tower. We quickly barricaded the doorway so that the undead can't enter. We are hoping for a miracle now...
Day 6
The barricade...didn't hold. Just me left now. My brother is lost, and most likely one of those monsters. I will be turning into one of them soon, as well. I was bit escaping...I am beginning to feel...hungry.
*You see a word written in blood*
Brains.
((The end. Sorry if it got a little wordy, but I felt like writing a buncha stuff)) _________________ "I kill two dwarfs in da morning, I kill two dwarfs at night, I kill two dwarfs in the afternoon, and then I feel alright.
