"Brother Eto" here. I've been scanning the forums here pretty diligently, and feel as though some of you are owed an explanation before any further progress continues on any storylines.
First of all, to debunk a few myths.
I am the Aquitaine player. I am not the Illiana player. Nor am I the Zortunda character. I know the Illiana player quite well, and she has been following your progress here as much as I have. We have collaborated on "The General" storyline from day 1. Illiana - however - is her alt, and I humbly ask that she not reveal herself, to further maintain the mystery.
Eto's dead. Your only interaction with him will be in the form of Wraith stories on this board ... and those will be sparing because I - as a player - have a few other "projects" tied closely to this one.
I have no idea who Zortunda is, but I applaud her creativity, and herein lies the crux of my wanting to write this important message.
Zortunda seems to have been paying close attention to your progress. I've done some "spying" and have it on limited authority that Zortunda is the name of a character in a high-end raiding guild on the Drak'thul, with aspirations to roleplay. More information I've not found, seems she hasn't been on in a while.
Zortunda has done something that I ACTIVELY encourage all of you to do, and I'm pleased to see some of you already taking that initiative. She's taking a working storyline, acknowledging it's existence, and she's writing her own story alongside it. She may never come across you in communicable form, but her storyline is forever entwined with the adventures all of you are building.
The Darkstar line is doing the same thing. There is NO reason why stories cannot arc over one another. My Eto post was meant to be read as a communicable "vision" able to be experienced by ALL players, minus Lyssira, should the story permit. It was written not to god-mode, but to allow you all the freedom to pursue your own legends, as well as bind you all together in one common cause. From the sounds of what Zortunda is planning, you may all well need each other, before the end.
There are elements of the "riddle" in the Portents that I'll not get into here. Mystery means constant searching, and constant development, and I'll not hinder that. Anything unanswered can be speculated about, and even "discovered" as a group, should it fit the storyline. The important thing to know is that, as a group, we WANT you to succeed, as any further progression on this effort will be building towards a story that my friend and I have been working on for several months.
Hope you've all been enjoying the FIRP. Encourage others to do so, because the ordeals will only intensify from here on out.
