Lyssira received a message from someone she did not know requesting a meeting to discuss an urgent matter.  Great!  Another urgent matter was just what Lyssira needed right about now.  But, better to hear what Bellara had to say, if it was indeed as important as Bellara seemed to believe, lives could be at stake, not the least of which was Lyssira's own.

So, Lyssira met with Bellara, heard what she had to say, and questioned her at length on several points.  Lyssira knew she needed to discuss what she had learned with Xaiden who seemed to be the person who put Bellara up to this, she wanted to know why he was now changing his story concerning Darkstar.

Lyssira also knew that if Bellara was telling the truth that the rest of the Covenant group could be at risk of immediate harm, most likely, their deaths.  She had to warn them, quickly!

Lyssira hurriedly composed a message and sent it off with a courier who would be able to find Consadine quickly.  She planned to consult with him first, and then with the others.  It's funny, isn't it?  How events have a way of unraveling themselves for their own purposes or for the purpose of one unseen?

Lyssira was on her way to The Cathedral at Stormwind to meet with Consadine there when she ran into Aedrean, another Covenant member.  Deciding it was better to err on the side of caution rather than wait until a plan was fully formed but Aedrean was dead, she asked him to come with her to discuss a matter of grave importance.  He agreed.

Upon arrival at the agreed upon chamber within the catacombs Lyssira looked around for others who might overhear what was to be discussed.  There was no one there, which meant also that Consadine had not arrived yet.  No matter, Lyssira would begin her tale anyway.  Shortly, Consadine did arrive and said that Brenry was on his way as well.  Good!  Lyssira would, as events would have it, tell the whole team at the same time what she now understood to be the facts about their employer, Darkstar.

Once the group had assembled and the greetings had been dispensed with, Lyssira began again at the beginning:

At the beginning of The Covenant of Light it was an organization fully sanctioned by the church and headed by the one we know only as Agent Darkstar

"Was?"  Lyssira looked briefly at the questioner and nodded, "Yes, 'was'.  I'll be getting to that in a minute.

In those days, Darkstar was a paladin and a good one.  He did have one serious flaw though.  Ego.  He believed that he could do the job he was asked to do better than the Church, and so, as time went on he was leading The Covenant group on missions that he had devised himself, missions which were neither sanctioned nor approved of by the Church.

As time went on, word began to make its way back to the Church of Light's high priests that The covenant of Light was out of control.  Understanding that they would lose everything if it ever got out that The covenant group had been their covert project, they took drastic action.   This will be hard for you to hear, but her it is.  They ordered the extermination of the Covenant group.  They did not know who was behind the treachery so, perhaps in a panic, they ordered the killing of the entire group.

And except for Agent Darkstar and Xaiden, they were successful.  Little is known of what happened next.  It is believed that Xaiden struggled with his faith for quite a long time, but Darkstar is another matter.  After learning that the Church had plotted to kill him, he turned rogue, both literally and figuratively.  It is believed that either Darkstar now acts only for his own betterment, or that he is an agent of another, and unknown, power.

Amid the turmoil caused by this revelation and confusion brought about by various comments regarding Brother Eto's "The General" prophesy.  The gathering began to lose focus at this point.

It was generally agreed that something should be done about Darkstar, but no agreement was arrived at as to what should happen.  Lyssira did try to impress on all present the importance of knowing their surroundings and not to let their guard down under any circumstances.

It was also agreed that the group should work together on locating the "lost portent", but again, no agreement was made how to proceed.

Feeling as if she had done a poor job in maintaining the focus of the meeting, Lyssira left the meeting alone, and before the others did.

What happened in her absence?  That is known only to those who remained, isn't it?
